Reagan will always be the Great Communicator. He made being a conservative, not only “cool”, but a politically viable alternative to the varying degrees of liberalism. We also still have much to learn from Reagan today, such as Reagan's quote to his staff after they recommended he veto the final version of his tax cuts after Democrats in Congress had trimmed them down, 'I would rather get 50% of what we want, than to go off the cliff with our flag flying!'
I salute Reagan; he never wavered from his principles, he always kept the ball moving in the right direction, and he never took himself too seriously while doing it. We will miss him."
